NBC Universal Grants ZCAF's PACT a $25,000 Community Impact Award!

We are proud to announce that Zenith Community Arts Foundation (ZCAF) is a winner of The Comcast NBCUniversal Foundation’s 2024 Local Impact Grants Challenge. The Comcast NBCUniversal Foundation is granting $2.5 million this year to non-profits that are strengthening our communities.

By winning this competitive grant, we hope to continue strengthening the DC community. Grant programs like this help us achieve our mission to bring ZCAF’s innovative Mobile Woodshop with professional carpenters, tools, and materials to community sites in Washington DC, where, as in so many areas, wood shops have closed.

With this newly won grant, Zenith Community Arts Foundation will be able to train a new generation of carpenters and woodworkers to enter the building trades, where, according to the National Association of Home Builders, carpentry is the most endangered career in the building industry.

ZCAF’s exhibition ‘The Marvel of Trees’ showcases parts of a traveling exhibition, funded by Events DC, and accompanied by original artworks using tree themes to celebrate DC’s leafy canopy. Included in this exhibition are sculptures, paintings, and mixed media.

On view now through September 14th at Zenith Gallery in Washington, DC.
